March Music Days Festival Academy Hi all, The Marimba / Percussion and Chamber Music Course will be held within the Academy of the March Music Days International Festival. The complete program and further details are also available on the site of the Festival (www.marchmusicdays.eu). What could you expect: A week long intensive course with private lessons, ensembles, workshops, performances and concerts visits. This course will be also a laboratory for developing the program of the Second Edition of the 'Youth Percussion Pool' which you can be a part of! (More info at our brand new page on Face Book. The theme of this year course will be "Ot nishto Neshto" (All with Nothing). We will focus on pieces that use few or unusual instruments ( like cowbells, wood blocks, tables, cactuses, twigs, suitcase, snare drum, vegetables, etc), a lot of them using theatrical elements. But of course there will be a sufficient place for solo pieces and larger ensemble works by Bulgarian composers such as Baljozov, Minkin, Zaimov and music by Rosauro, Lovendie, Cage, Reich, de Mey, and more. As a highlight of the course, all participants will perform in a final concert on March 27. That concert is official event in the festival's calendar! Well then, why would you have to leave the comfort of your school in the middle of the school-semester and come to Rousse and the March Music Days Festival? - I'd say: therefore! Come to our country, meet your colleagues from other places, exchange ideas, and take the challenge to make music with a fewer instruments but great enthusiasm, use your talent, imagination and creativity to be a part of a percussion spectacle that we will all create together.
