House of Fun | torture euphemism is a profound, associative film/ music performance written and produced by Merijn Bisschops about euphemisms surrounding torture. House of Fun brings far away matters closer, without resulting into a glorification of violence. A performance for people with an interest in art-house movies, adventurous music, language and philosophy.

“‘Mysterious Forest’ was written for and dedicated to Tatiana Koleva.

As a homage to David Lynch I have chosen Mysterious Forest as the titel of this composition. “Mysterious Forest” is the titel of a small painting by David Lynch (1988-90).

The piece is to be played on a set of (semi) pitched wooden percussion instruments / objects. E.g.: wooden tom toms, temple blocks, a set of wooden boards (like a home-made marimba), woodblocks”. Eric de Clercq
